How to use Edit PDF
- 1Choose your PDF, or drop it on the page. All pages appear one under the other; zoom with the + and − buttons.
- 2Edit text: tap any line and retype it. Press Enter to finish. The line keeps the PDF’s own font, size and colour.
- 3Add text: tap the page and type. Pick one of 28 fonts (including Hindi), bold, italic, size and colour.
- 4Image, Draw, Eraser, Highlight, Underline, Strike and Shapes work the same way: pick the tool and use it on the page. Tap anything you added to move, resize, recolour or delete it.
- 5Press Save PDF to download the edited file. Undo and Redo (Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y) work all the way back.
Questions
Will the edited text look like the rest of the page?
In most digitally made PDFs (Word, Google Docs, exported invoices and CVs) it does. The new text is written in the PDF’s own font, size and colour, and the old words are removed from the page. PDFs only carry the letters they already use, so if you type a letter the file does not contain, that word is drawn in the closest standard font and the result tells you.
Can I edit a scanned PDF?
A scan is a picture of text, so its lines can’t be retyped. Instead, cover the old words with the Eraser (it matches the paper colour) and type the new words on top with Add text.
Can I type Hindi?
Yes, with Add text: choose one of the Hindi fonts (Hind, Mukta, Noto Sans, Kalam, Tiro). Hindi needs letters joined in a way PDF text can’t store, so it is saved as a sharp picture of the words, exactly as you see it. Retyping an existing line in Hindi is not possible yet.
Is added text real text?
Yes for Latin letters: it is saved as real text in the font you chose (only the letters used are stored), so it stays sharp and can be selected and searched. Pictures, drawings and shapes are saved as real PDF drawing, not as a screenshot of the page.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is opened and changed inside your browser, on your own device. There is no upload step and no server that receives it. You can even switch off your internet after the page has loaded and most tools keep working.
