How to use Compare PDFs
- 1Add the older version first, then the newer one (use Swap if they are the wrong way round).
- 2The changes are listed and marked on both files side by side: green added, red removed, yellow changed. Tap a change to jump to it.
- 3Download the newer file with every change highlighted, to share or keep.
Questions
Does it work when the lines moved?
Yes. Lines are matched first, then the words inside the parts that differ, so a paragraph that was re-wrapped or moved to the next page shows only the words that really changed.
Can it compare scans?
Tick “Show picture differences” to see in red where the pages look different. For a word-by-word comparison, run Make searchable on both files first.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is opened and changed inside your browser, on your own device. There is no upload step and no server that receives it. You can even switch off your internet after the page has loaded and most tools keep working.
