How to use Resize photo & signature

  1. 1Choose your photo or signature (JPG, PNG or WebP).
  2. 2Pick Form photo, Signature or Passport size, or type the width, height and KB your form asks for.
  3. 3Choose Crop to fit and drag the box over the part to keep (your face, or the signature). Use Turn if the picture is sideways.
  4. 4Press Make JPG. The best quality that fits your size limit is chosen for you. Download the picture and upload it to the form.

Questions

Which size should I use?

Use exactly what your form says. Exam and job forms usually give a width and height in pixels (or cm) and a file size range in KB. The presets are common examples, not official rules for any particular form.

Why is my file still over the limit?

A big, detailed picture at large pixel sizes can stay above a very small KB limit even at the lowest quality. Use the pixel size the form asks for (usually small) and it will fit.

The form needs a minimum size, like 20 KB. Can you add it?

The highest quality is used first, which gives the biggest file. A small or very plain picture (like a signature on white) may still be under the minimum; a slightly larger pixel size usually fixes that.

What does DPI do?

Some forms check the DPI number written inside the JPG (for example 200 DPI). Choosing a DPI writes that number into the file. It doesn’t change the pixels.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is opened and changed inside your browser, on your own device. There is no upload step and no server that receives it. You can even switch off your internet after the page has loaded and most tools keep working.
