Questions
Is the quality the same as in the PDF?
Yes. JPG photos are copied byte for byte. Other pictures are saved as PNG, which loses nothing.
Why is a picture missing?
Black-and-white scans stored in a fax format (CCITT or JBIG2) can’t be saved here yet; the result says how many. PDF to image saves whole pages as pictures instead.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is opened and changed inside your browser, on your own device. There is no upload step and no server that receives it. You can even switch off your internet after the page has loaded and most tools keep working.
