Why flatten a PDF?
So a filled form or marked-up page looks the same in every app, and nobody can change the answers or remove the highlights.
Does the text stay sharp?
Yes. Each field and comment is drawn into the page exactly as it appears now, as real PDF drawing, not as a screenshot.
Can I undo a flatten?
Not in the flattened file. Keep the original if you may need to change the answers again.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is opened and changed inside your browser, on your own device. There is no upload step and no server that receives it. You can even switch off your internet after the page has loaded and most tools keep working.
